Information We Collect

1. Authentication Information

When you sign in using Google, we collect:

• Email address (used as your unique identifier)
• Name (display name from your Google account)
• Profile picture (optional, from your Google account)
• Last login timestamp

This information is stored securely on our servers and is used solely for authentication and account management purposes.

2. Financial Data

WealthVision does NOT collect, store, or track your financial data on our servers.

WealthVision is a client-side application that allows you to track and manage your financial information locally, including:

• Assets (bank accounts, investments, property, etc.)
• Liabilities (loans, mortgages, etc.)
• Monthly expenses and income
• Trip expenses and budgets
• Financial profiles and goals

We do NOT have access to your financial data. Your financial information remains private and under your complete control.

3. Google Drive Integration (Optional)

If you choose to use the Google Drive backup feature:

• We request access to create and manage files in a dedicated "wealthVision" folder in your Google Drive
• We store access permissions securely on our servers to enable backup functionality
• Your financial data is encrypted before being uploaded to Google Drive
• You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings

Note: Google Drive backup is completely optional. You can use WealthVision fully without enabling this feature.

4. Usage Data

We may collect anonymous usage data to improve our services:

• Page views and navigation patterns
• Feature usage statistics
• Error logs (without personal information)
• Browser type and version
• Device information

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:

Data Storage and Security

Browser Storage (Default)

By default, all your financial data is stored locally in your browser. This means:

• Your data never leaves your device
• You have complete control over your data
• Data is tied to your browser and device
• Clearing browser data will remove your local data

Server Storage

We store the following on our secure servers:

• Authentication information (email, name, profile picture)
• Google Drive access permissions (if backup is enabled) - these only allow us to save files to your Google Drive
• Data version numbers (for sync purposes between devices)
• Last login timestamps

Data Encryption

When you enable optional encryption:

• Financial data is encrypted before being uploaded to Google Drive
• Encryption keys are never stored on our servers
• Only you can decrypt your data using your password
